In the Chernihiv region, border settlements were shelled 31 times, resulting in 51 explosions, according to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration. The attacks specifically targeted border communities. On February 2, a food industry enterprise in the Novhorod-Siverskyi community was struck again, damaging a boiler house, while a warehouse had been damaged the previous day. Additionally, the Semenivka House of Culture was hit by a “Molniya” missile, though there were no reported casualties.

In Kharkiv, a massive Russian strike on the night of February 3 damaged both energy infrastructure and residential buildings, injuring four civilians — two men and two women — in the Slobidskyi district, according to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office. The assault involved Shahed-2 drones, Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers with cluster munitions, missiles, and aerial bombs. A pre-trial investigation into possible war crimes has been launched.

The attacks also left 16,000 residents of the Lozova community without heating amid 20-degree frost. Mayor Serhiy Zelensky reported that energy and utility workers are operating at the limits of human capacity while trying to restore services.

Fires broke out in private homes, and a school, store, and apartment building were damaged. During evacuation operations, a second strike occurred, but fortunately, no additional injuries were reported. In total, 17 people, including eight children, were evacuated, and all fires have since been extinguished, according to the State Emergency Service (SSU) in Sumy.
