Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe has joined a major European renewable energy project — an offshore wind farm located off the coast of the United Kingdom, near Suffolk.
The construction of the wind farm, situated 69 kilometers from the shoreline, is currently in its final stage, with turbine installation underway.
Interpipe supplied nearly 2,500 tons of steel pipes of various sizes for the project. The company’s products were used in the assembly of foundation structures for the wind turbines and will serve as docking systems around the turbine bases, allowing maintenance boats to moor safely.
According to Jorge Ruiz, Interpipe’s sales manager for European markets, the project required highly specialized technical specifications.
“The key feature of the pipes for this order lies in the wall thickness, strict geometric tolerances, and requirements for steel resistance to corrosion in a marine environment. It is very important for us to meet the expectations of customers and end users,” he said.
The offshore wind farm is expected to be commissioned between late 2026 and early 2027. Once operational, it will generate at least 1.4 GW of energy and supply electricity to more than 1.3 million households.
Interpipe is a Ukrainian industrial company specializing in steel pipes and railway products. Its output is supplied to more than 50 countries worldwide through a network of sales offices across key markets in the Middle East, North America, and Europe. In 2025, the company produced 470,000 tons of pipe products and 89,000 tons of railway products, marketed under the KLW brand.
