In January, ground robotic systems (GRS) carried out more than 7,000 combat and logistics missions on the front line. Their use has become routine for military units and helps reduce risks for personnel while increasing operational effectiveness.

“Just six months ago, evacuating the wounded using ground robotic systems was rare. Today, robots regularly enter high-risk zones: delivering ammunition, supporting logistics, and evacuating the wounded where the presence of personnel poses additional danger,” said Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.

Most GRS missions in January were logistics operations on the front line. These account for thousands of tasks that soldiers previously had to perform under Russian fire.

The key objective is to transition as much frontline logistics as possible to ground robotic systems. This will reduce risks for military personnel and improve unit effectiveness.

In 2026, plans call for increasing production and procurement volumes of GRS, as well as improving communication and control systems. Military units will be able to further equip the systems by purchasing necessary modules and components tailored to specific combat tasks.

Through the Army of Drones.Bonus programme, the most effective combat experience is being scaled up. On the Brave1 Market platform, 13 models of ground robotic systems are already available, which units can obtain using combat points — quickly, transparently, and in line with real frontline needs.
