The global container operator DP World, almost six years after its acquisition, has sold its stake in TIS Container Terminal Limited at the Pivdennyi port, with the stake repurchased by the TIS Group, according to Kommersant Ukraine and Latifundist.

“After a five-year partnership, the Ukrainian port operator TIS Group and DP World, a global leader in logistics and trade headquartered in Dubai, signed an agreement under which DP World sold its 51% stake in the container terminal at Pivdennyi, Ukraine, as well as the related maritime services business, back to TIS in line with DP World’s regional and global strategy,” DP World stated in response to a Latifundist.com inquiry.

The deal also includes P&O Maritime Ukraine, a tug operator established in 2018.

DP World confirmed that all relevant regulatory approvals have been obtained and the transaction has been completed, but noted that it will continue to explore business opportunities in Ukraine.

According to DP World’s annual report, it owned 51% of TIS Container Terminal Limited, listed as a multipurpose terminal, while the remaining 49% was classified as non-controlling interest.

In addition, DP World owned 51% of P&O Maritime Ukraine.

The report stated that in December 2025, the company signed an agreement to sell a group of its subsidiaries in the “Middle East, Europe, and Africa” region, with total assets of $300 million and liabilities of $119.1 million. The sale was expected to be completed by the end of March 2026 and was not expected to generate losses for DP World.

According to the TIS Group website, the container terminal is the longest (600 m) and deepest (15 m) container terminal in Ukraine, with a capacity of 8 million tons or 400,000 TEU per year. In 2021, Maersk consolidated all its calls in Ukraine at this terminal.

According to YouControl data, the current owners of TOV “Container Terminal Pivdennyi” are “Container Terminal Yuzhny B.V.” (Netherlands) – 81.63% – and Oleksii Fedyorychev from Monaco.

The company’s revenue in 2025 fell by 24.8% to UAH 840.78 million, while net profit decreased 2.8 times to UAH 208.35 million.

The beneficiaries of TOV “BPSH” (formerly P&O Maritime Holdings Ukraine) are Yegor Grebennikov – 29.7%, Andrii Stavnitzer – 30.35%, and Oleg Kutateladze – 39.6%, who hold it through LBS Shipping B.V. (Netherlands).

The company’s revenue in 2025 was UAH 0.19 million, with a net profit of UAH 0.02 million.
