Russian forces struck the Zhytomyr–Odessa passenger train for the second time. No one was injured, and all passengers were safely transported to Odessa.

Odesa Regional Governor Oleh Kiper reported the attack.

“Nearly 600 passengers, including 15 children, came under attack by Russian jet-powered UAVs today. The enemy struck a passenger train and, after the first strike, when rescuers and emergency services were already working at the scene, carried out a second attack. Fortunately, no one was injured,” Kiper said.

According to him, following the first attack, the train was immediately stopped and all passengers, as well as the train and locomotive crews, were evacuated to a safe distance. People were quickly transported away from the site of the strike, while emergency medical teams were stationed along the evacuation route.

The evacuation has now been completed. All passengers have been transported to Odessa.
