Industrial parks are one of the factors driving economic growth and encouraging Ukrainians to return home. This opinion was expressed by Vasyl Khmelnytskyi, the initiator of the international forum "Industrial Evolution: Manufacturing Powers the Economy" and founder of the UFuture holding.
He emphasized that in order to bring people back from abroad, it is essential to create competitive opportunities, including jobs and decent salaries.
"An industrial park is precisely such a growth point for the economy and a magnet for innovation, investment, and talent. Support for industrial parks from the state and local communities is an investment. Last year, we paid UAH 18 million in taxes to the local budget, this year it’s UAH 25 million, and next year it will be UAH 50 million. Over 20 years, that’s over a billion. And this is just on the local level. Today, we are laying the groundwork for the next 15–20 years," said Vasyl Khmelnytskyi.
Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, in turn, believes that digitalization, technology, and innovation must form the foundation of the country’s economic development.
He reminded that the WINWIN Strategy for Ukraine’s Digital Innovation Development until 2030 covers 14 areas—from defense tech to AI.
“We are already working on various tools to create the right conditions for innovation development in Ukraine: incentives, regulatory fast-tracks, access to financing, and mechanisms for opening new markets,” he noted.
