The company's next ambitious steps will be to expand the geography of transportation from Ukraine to Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia, the message added.
UZ Cargo Poland connects Ukraine with European countries, operating rolling stock on both the standard gauge (1435 mm) and broad gauge (1520 mm) tracks. It holds a transportation license from UTK (official authorization for passenger and freight rail transportation in Poland), a safety certificate from ERA (European Union Agency for Railways) in accordance with European Parliament and Council directives, and has signed the necessary agreements with PKP PLK S.A. (the Polish state-owned railway infrastructure operator).
Earlier, Timofiy Murakhovskyi, Director of Commercial Operations and Logistics at JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, told CTS that UZ Cargo Poland currently provides only freight forwarding services.
