The Ukrainian junior diving team won an international tournament in Dresden

The XII International Youth Diving Meet concluded in Dresden (Germany), marking the largest international diving tournament after the Youth World Championship. According to the press service of the Ukrainian Diving Federation, this year’s competition involved 139 athletes from 18 countries.

The Ukrainian team, consisting of 10 athletes, managed to win 14 medals: 5 gold, 7 silver, and 2 bronze, securing the overall team victory.

Gold:

  • Yelyzaveta Dyiaduk (1-meter springboard, Group B)
  • Valerii Malieiev (3-meter springboard, Group A)
  • Nazar Koenenko (3-meter springboard, Group B)

Igor Lysov, President of the Ukrainian Diving and Synchronized Swimming Federations, congratulated the athletes and coaching staff on their outstanding performance:

"In such difficult times that all Ukrainians are going through, you managed to represent our country with honor on the international stage. You showed the world the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian spirit and once again proved that the Ukrainian junior diving team is a true leader in Europe! These competitions were a great test ahead of the Junior European Championships in June. So, we look at the season with optimism."
