TAF Industries has become the majority owner of the Teslia unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) platform following a restructuring of the project’s ownership, marking a new stage in the development and scaling of the system used by Ukraine’s Defence Forces.

As part of the deal, the founder of Phantom Technology — the company that produces the Teslia UGV — is selling part of his stake, while Resist.UA, the main investor in the project since 2024, is fully exiting by selling its entire share. This shift leaves TAF Industries in control of the platform.

According to TAF Industries CEO Volodymyr Zinovskyi, the acquisition fits into the company’s broader expansion into unmanned systems.

“We are expanding into a new category — unmanned ground vehicles. Teslia is a logistics UGV already used by Ukrainian forces, and we aim to take it to a new level of production and deployment,” he said.

The Teslia UGV was codified and approved for use by Ukraine’s security and defence forces in January 2025 and is currently used for frontline logistics and casualty evacuation missions.

Resist.UA, which invested in the project in 2024 at an early development stage, said the transition allows the product to scale further under an industrial partner.

The platform is a six-wheeled unmanned vehicle with a payload capacity of up to 180 kg, capable of operating for up to 40 km or four hours per charge, and designed for difficult terrain and frontline conditions.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
