Over the past day, Russian forces carried out a series of attacks across several regions of Ukraine, leaving civilians injured and causing extensive damage to residential, social, and critical infrastructure.
In the Kherson region, five people were wounded as a result of drone attacks, airstrikes, and artillery shelling, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Regional Military Administration. Communities affected included Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Komyshany, Bilozirka, Stanislav, Kizomys, Vesele, and the city of Kherson, among others. Prokudin reported damage to an apartment building and 15 private homes, as well as farm structures and a private vehicle. Meanwhile, two people were evacuated from recently liberated areas.
In Kyiv, city mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that during a nighttime missile strike in the Dnipro district, fragments fell near an ambulance substation. No fires, casualties, or major damage occurred. Additional fragments were found in residential yards and parks across the Sviatoshyn, Desnianskyi, and Podilskyi districts, shattering windows in some apartment buildings and offices.
Donetsk region also experienced heavy shelling. Vadym Filashkin, head of the regional military administration, said that five civilians were injured, four of them in Druzhkivka. Russian strikes damaged homes, vehicles, and infrastructure across Lyman, Mykolaivka, Raigorodok, Malynivka, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Zoloti Prudy. Over the past day, 19 settlements in the region were shelled, with additional damage reported in Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts, though without casualties.
In Kharkiv, two civilians were injured on the morning of February 23 in the Kholodnogirskyi and Osnovianskyi districts. Head of the Regional State Administration, Oleh Synehubov, also reported that on February 22, eight settlements were struck, injuring a 44-year-old woman in Pechenihy and a 69-year-old man in Podoly, Kurylivska community. The attacks involved a mix of UAVs, including Geran-2, Lancet, Molniya, FPV drones, and other types. Damage was reported to gas stations, private homes, outbuildings, civilian enterprises, and vehicles across the region.
Sumy region saw over 70 attacks in 21 settlements across 12 territorial communities, leaving a 36-year-old man injured by a guided aerial bomb and prompting medical treatment for a 9-year-old girl previously injured by a UAV strike. The most heavily hit areas were the Sumy and Shostka districts, with damages reported to administrative buildings, schools, cultural centers, apartment buildings, private homes, and civil infrastructure.
In the Dnipro district of Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian attacks caused both injuries and structural damage. One man was wounded in an evening strike targeting a sanatorium in the Pavlohrad district. Overnight, an airstrike hit the Pokrovska community of the Synelnykove district, damaging a fire and rescue building—windows were shattered and the ceiling partially collapsed. A fire also broke out in a private outbuilding and in one apartment of a multi-story building; firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.
