Russian drones attacked port and civilian infrastructure in Odesa region overnight and again in the morning of April 2, causing damage in several locations but no reported casualties.

According to Ukraine’s Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, the nighttime strike targeted port infrastructure, damaging warehouse areas, hangars, and administrative buildings. Fires broke out in containers and a civilian vehicle at the site. Emergency services were promptly deployed to deal with the aftermath.

The city of Chornomorsk was also hit during the nighttime attack. Mayor Vasyl Huliaiev reported that civilian infrastructure and multi-storey residential buildings were damaged. Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the destruction while cleanup and restoration efforts continue.

Later in the morning, Russian drones again targeted civilian infrastructure in the region, hitting both residential areas and port facilities. In the port zone, containers and four passenger cars caught fire, and two hangars were damaged.

In residential areas, a private house sustained damage to its facade, roof, and windows, while an unfinished building was destroyed. A fire also broke out on a balcony and a gas pipe in a multi-storey building.

All fires were extinguished by emergency responders. No injuries were reported as a result of the attacks.
