From October 3 to 5, 2025, the Art Kyiv 2025 contemporary art fair will take place at the Kyiv City Art Gallery Lavra. The event continues the tradition of the well-known Kyiv Art Market but has entered a new phase—its updated name reflects openness, progress, and global ambition. Under the slogan “Collections are Born Here,” the fair will bring together participants from Ukraine, Poland, and the USA.
Over 20 leading galleries and art institutions will participate, including Abramovych Art, Shum, Vakulenko Art Consulting, Snisarenko Gallery, Savchenko Gallery, Corpus Fine Art, Mironova Gallery, Tuzov Gallery, and the Goldens auction house. The visual centerpiece of the autumn fair is the work “Love” (2025) by Odesa artist Stepan Ryabchenko. The piece will be featured in the exhibition, giving visitors the opportunity to see it in person.
Art Kyiv 2025 will follow an Open Space format, offering exhibitors more than 1,000 m² for stands, special projects, and educational programming. Visitors can explore painting, graphics, sculpture, and photography.
The fair’s founder and director of the municipal gallery “Lavra,” Tetyana Mironova, emphasizes the event’s significance: it is not only a cultural occasion but also a symbol of resilience and faith in the future. The fair is led by Anna Avetova, an experienced cultural manager.
A parallel program, Collecting Futures, runs from October 3 to 5, combining panel discussions, performances, masterclasses, and artist meetings. It creates a dialogue space between artists, collectors, cultural institutions, and businesses, showcasing how contemporary art shapes future scenarios—from cultural resilience and educational practices to art investment and international collaboration.
Art Kyiv 2025 aims to highlight the strategic investment potential of contemporary art, strengthen the local art market infrastructure, encourage collecting, and attract international partners. Vlad Tuzov, the fair’s financial director, notes that investing in contemporary art today is an investment in the country’s prestige, international image, and new markets.
On October 2, during the VIP opening, a large-scale neon installation by Stepan Ryabchenko, “War and Peace. From the series Baby Babble” (2018), measuring 8 × 4 meters, will be presented, reflecting the artist’s vision of the duality of war and peace.
“For me, as the artist, at the moment of creating this work, it was very important to capture the feeling of approaching and connecting my childhood and memories with my present state. Simply put, this piece evokes, on one hand, very warm childhood memories, and on the other, a conscious reflection on the dual narrative of war and peace that accompanies us throughout life in one form or another. The third aspect is the boundary between these two elements,” explains the artist Stepan Ryabchenko.
Location: Kyiv City Art Gallery “Lavra,” 7b Lavrska Street (entrance from 9 Lavrskyi Lane), White Gate.
