The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has published data on more than 60 foreign machine tools used by Russia’s military-industrial complex on the “War & Sanctions” portal.

“Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in the ‘Tools of War’ section of the ‘War & Sanctions’ portal, publishes more than 60 units of foreign equipment used by Russian developers and manufacturers of parts and components for aircraft, missiles, submarines, as well as enterprises involved in the technological equipment of Russian defense factories,” the agency stated.

As noted, the update on Wednesday includes, in particular, lathe, milling, band saw, thread-cutting, grinding, and other CNC (computer numerical control) machines.

They are used at: the Fakel Machine-Building Design Bureau (also known as OKB-2), one of the oldest Soviet-Russian design bureaus specializing in the development of guided surface-to-air missiles; the Sozvezdiye concern, which unites enterprises developing and producing electronic warfare (EW) and communications systems; and JSC Proton, which among other things produces diode modules for the S-71 “Kover” cruise aircraft missiles, previously reported.

Intelligence Directorate also stated that the “Instruments of War” section contains data on 1,635 units of foreign equipment used at 218 enterprises of Russia’s military-industrial complex.

The agency explained that restricting Russia’s access to technology is a key condition for peace and stability in the world.
