The Government of Slovakia on Wednesday approved the termination of the agreement between the Slovak electricity transmission system operator SEPS and Ukraine, TASR reports.
The decree states that Finance Minister Ladislav Kamenický must take measures regarding the SEPS agreement, under which the company provided emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine.
At the same time, the decree does not specify which measures should be taken.
It is expected that the company will immediately terminate the contract between SEPS and Ukrenergo for emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine.
One of the conditions for terminating the contract is the continuation of the state of emergency in the oil sector, declared by a Slovak government decree on February 18. The government approved this measure three weeks after the transit of oil through the Druzhba pipeline was halted due to an attack on it in Ukrainian territory.
