The Russian army dropped 3 high-explosive aerial bombs on the city center of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region — five people were killed and 12 were injured. The death toll may rise.
This was reported by the Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
“The number of victims in Kramatorsk has risen to 5 killed and 12 injured. In addition to residential buildings, four administrative buildings were also damaged. The rescue operation is ongoing,” the regional head wrote.


The regional police clarified that among the dead are a 65-year-old man and four women aged 47, 63, 67, and 68. The injured range in age from 33 to 91.
Paramedics, an investigative task force, explosive ordnance specialists, and all relevant services are working at the scene, along with the leadership of the Donetsk regional police.
Debris removal is ongoing. Police are going door-to-door and providing assistance to residents.
“On May 5, 2026, at around 17:00, Russian forces struck the center of Kramatorsk using an aerial munition of the FAB-250 type equipped with a UMPK module. The strike was recorded in a densely built-up residential area,” the Office of the Prosecutor General reported .


According to the agency, as of now at least five civilians are known to have been killed, and another nine people injured.
“The victims have mine-blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and contusions. All have received the necessary medical assistance,” the Office clarified.
Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
