In the early hours of Saturday, March 14, a fire broke out at the Afipsky Oil Refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai following a drone strike, while a vessel at the nearby Kavkaz Port was also damaged. Authorities reported three people were injured in the incidents.
According to the regional operational headquarters and Astra, debris from drones struck technical installations at the refinery in the Seversky District, igniting a blaze that engulfed multiple production units. Residents reported hearing dozens of explosions around 1 a.m., prompting a rapid response from emergency and specialized services.
“Technical installations caught fire at the Afipsky refinery in Seversky District. Measures are being taken to extinguish the blaze,” the statement said.

Video analysis conducted by OSINT analysts from the CyberBorosno project confirmed that the AT-22/4 processing unit was directly hit.
At the Kavkaz Port in Temryuk District, drone debris damaged a technical vessel, causing a localized fire on the pier. Firefighters and emergency crews worked quickly to contain the flames, while authorities investigated the extent of the damage.
The Afipsky refinery has been targeted by drone strikes on multiple occasions, including attacks on August 7 and November 29 last year. Analysts note the facility is strategically important for Russia’s military operations, as it supplies fuel for armed forces.
