In Russia’s Samara region, a fire broke out at the Syzran Oil Refinery following a UAV attack.
This was reported by the Telegram channel ASTRA.
It is noted that Samara Region Governor warned residents overnight on social media about a “drone threat,” and at 4:30 a.m. announced the closure of the region’s airspace at all altitudes and the introduction of the so-called “Carpet” emergency regime across the region.
After analyzing eyewitness videos, ASTRA confirmed that the UAV attack caused a fire at the oil refinery in the city of Syzran in the Samara region.

According to reports, black smoke was rising above the industrial zone. The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, also confirmed the fire at the refinery in Syzran.
JSC Syzran Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil-processing enterprises in the Samara region and is part of the structure of Rosneft. The refinery produces gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, and other petroleum products. Annually, the plant processes between 7 and 8.5 million tons of oil.
