In the Odessa region, two civilian vessels were damaged and two people were injured as a result of a nighttime attack by Russian drones on March 20.
This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba.
“As a result of the nighttime attack on the Odessa region by strike UAVs, two civilian commercial vessels flying the flags of Palau and Barbados were damaged,” Kuleba stated.
According to him, two people were injured and received medical assistance.
At the time of the strike, the vessels were moored at berths and loaded with grain. Despite this, Kuleba noted, the vessels remain afloat.

In addition, administrative buildings were damaged. A fire broke out on the premises, but rescuers quickly contained it. Response efforts to deal with the aftermath are ongoing at the sites.
As Kuleba emphasized, this is yet another war crime by Russia against global food security. Meanwhile, the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported on Telegram that a pre-trial investigation has been launched into alleged war crimes (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
On the night of March 20, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation attacked port and industrial infrastructure facilities in the Odessa district using strike drones.
Two administrative buildings were also damaged. Two men, aged 36 and 37, were injured and hospitalized.
