Russia on May 13 launched a combined prolonged air strike against Ukraine targeting critical infrastructure facilities, and the attack may continue for an extended period.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense on Telegram.
In the first wave of the attack, Russian forces are using a large number of strike drones to overload Ukraine’s air defense system and hit civilian targets.
Russia is also planning to deploy a significant number of air- and sea-launched cruise missiles, as well as ballistic missiles.
Moscow’s targets include critical infrastructure and essential services facilities in major cities, particularly energy infrastructure, defense industry enterprises, and government buildings.
“In this way, Russia, which rejected ceasefire proposals, is once again attempting to undermine Ukraine’s resilience in the war for freedom,” the Main Intelligence Directorate stated.
