6 killed, dozens injured in Russian attacks across Ukraine

Russian attacks across Ukraine killed at least six people and injured dozens more over the past day, with casualties reported in Poltava, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Kirovohrad regions.

In Kremenchuk, Poltava region, two people were killed and seven injured in a Russian attack, according to regional governor Volodymyr Diakivnych. The figures are preliminary, and rescue operations are continuing.

In Sumy region, Russian forces carried out nearly 50 strikes on 24 settlements in 12 communities between the mornings of October 6 and 7. A 40-year-old man was killed in a drone strike on the Sumy community.

A 43-year-old woman was wounded, while a drone strike on an apartment building injured a 16-year-old boy and two women aged 27 and 46. Two girls, aged seven and 14, suffered acute stress reactions, as did a 57-year-old woman following another drone strike. A 41-year-old man was also injured when a drone struck a house in the Seredyna-Buda community. Several other residents sought medical assistance for injuries sustained in attacks on earlier days.

Russian forces used artillery, mortars, FPV drones, other UAVs and guided aerial bombs across Sumy region. Apartment buildings, private homes, an educational institution, a shopping centre, civilian infrastructure and vehicles were among the damaged property.

In Donetsk region, 12 civilians were wounded on October 6. Four people were injured in Bilenke, three in Adamivka, two each in Kramatorsk and Vesela Hora, and one in Zoloti Prudy.

Zaporizhzhia region came under 982 Russian strikes against 52 settlements. One man was killed and six people were injured in attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding district.

Regional authorities recorded one missile strike, 22 air strikes, 810 drone attacks — most involving FPV drones — and 149 artillery strikes. Seventy-eight reports of damage to homes, vehicles and infrastructure were received.

 

 

In Kherson region, one person was killed and 11 others, including a child, were wounded. Russian forces used aircraft, drones and artillery against settlements across the region, damaging an apartment building, three private homes, an administrative building, vehicles and other property.

Two people were wounded in Mykolaiv region. A 29-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were injured in Dmytrivka during FPV drone attacks. The man was hospitalised in stable condition, while the woman is receiving outpatient treatment. A vehicle was damaged. Russian Shahed drones also damaged a recreational complex in the Chornomorske community, while a private home was damaged in Lymany.

In Kharkiv region, two people were wounded as Russian forces attacked 11 settlements with missiles and drones. A 64-year-old man was injured near Ploske and a 52-year-old woman in Hrushyne. Damage was reported to homes, shops, warehouses, railway and electricity infrastructure, vehicles and a civilian enterprise.

 

 

Kirovohrad region also came under attack on Tuesday morning. In Oleksandriia, critical infrastructure was struck, killing one person and injuring three, according to the latest figures from regional authorities. Two other people were reported to be out of contact. A separate strike on an enterprise in the region left at least one person injured.

In Kyiv, an attack caused a fire and partial collapse of the ceiling of an office and warehouse building in the Podilskyi district. No casualties were reported in the information available so far.
