Ukraine’s second-largest mobile operator, VF Ukraine (“Vodafone Ukraine”, VFU), is introducing 5G in international roaming, which is currently available in 15 countries: Slovenia, Poland, Bulgaria, Czechia, Hungary, Switzerland, France, Malta, Croatia, Luxembourg, Germany, Slovakia, Montenegro, Cyprus, and New Zealand.
According to a press release published by the mobile operator on Thursday, access to 5G roaming is provided under the same conditions as 4G — within the subscriber’s existing tariff plan.
What this means for customers
5G roaming is not just “faster”, but a new level of convenience while traveling:
- Instant content loading – maps, tickets, bookings – everything opens without delays
- Stable video communication – calls with family or work meetings without interruptions
- Comfort on the go – streaming, navigation, and working with documents without limitations
- Efficiency for business – fast access to email, CRM systems, and cloud services
And all of this – without the need to purchase local SIM cards or search for Wi-Fi.
It is noted that in European Union countries, most tariffs follow the “Roam like at home” principle, allowing users to use minutes, SMS, and part of their data allowance without additional charges.
Vodafone Ukraine increased its revenue by 14% in 2025 compared to the previous year, reaching 27.8 billion UAH, while its net profit grew by 18% to 4.18 billion UAH.
