Ukrainian technology company BlueBird Tech has announced the launch of production of missiles for air defense systems (AD) capable of intercepting enemy UAVs, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles, the company said in a press release.
“Domestic production of air defense missiles will be able to reduce the cost of destroying aerial targets compared to the analogues we receive,” said BlueBird Tech co-founder Valerii Zarubin, as quoted in the release.
He added that BlueBird Tech aims to make air defense missiles mass-produced and inexpensive.
It is noted that the company has already begun recruiting specialists and is bringing in specialized engineers.
According to the statement, in addition to air defense systems, other missile solutions will also be developed, though details are not being disclosed for security reasons.
The company emphasizes that Ukraine will see the results of its missile development efforts in the coming years.
BlueBird Tech is a Ukrainian company with more than 350 developers, engineers, designers, and production specialists. Since 2023, it has been working on various defense technologies, ranging from electronic warfare and drone detection systems to strike FPV solutions and communications systems.
