Ukraine exported $4.46 billion worth of IT services between January and August 2026, an increase of 4% compared with the same period last year, according to Opendatabot and data from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
The growth has brought IT export revenues back to their 2023 levels, although they remain 9% below the record figures recorded during the same period in 2022.
IT services accounted for 41% of Ukraine’s total services exports during the first eight months of 2026, maintaining the sector’s position as a major source of export revenue.

Overall, Ukraine exported $10.9 billion worth of services during the period, representing a 6% increase year-on-year.
IT also accounted for approximately 12% of Ukraine’s combined exports of goods and services, meaning that roughly every eighth dollar earned from exports came from the technology sector.
Ukraine’s total exports of goods and services reached $35.8 billion between January and August 2026, remaining largely unchanged compared with the previous year.
Goods continued to dominate Ukraine’s export structure, accounting for approximately 70% of the total, or $24.9 billion.

The figures indicate that IT services remain an important contributor to Ukraine’s export earnings, with the sector recovering towards its pre-2024 levels despite the continuing impact of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
