On the sidelines of the international Transport Innovative Forum 2026 in Vilnius, Ukraine's Deputy Minister for Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport, Ihor Reva, held a series of bilateral meetings on the instructions of Minister Mykola Kalashnyk. The main focus was on digitalising transport logistics, introducing European standards and attracting private investment for reconstruction.

"International partnerships and the exchange of best practices are essential for the effective transformation of Ukraine's transport system. At TIF 2026, we are not only strengthening dialogue with our European and regional partners but also taking concrete steps towards European integration, digitalisation of the sector and improving Ukraine's overall resilience. We are grateful to our Lithuanian and Turkish colleagues for their unwavering support and willingness to jointly implement large-scale infrastructure and technological initiatives," Ihor Reva said.

At the Turkish Embassy in Vilnius, Ihor Reva met with Durmuş Ünüvar, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye. The meeting was also attended by Türkiye's Ambassador to Lithuania, Esra Toplu, and Burak Aykan, Director General for EU Affairs and Foreign Relations.

The parties discussed further steps to provide energy support to Ukrainian cities, involve Turkish private-sector representatives in public-private partnership projects, and strengthen cooperation at relevant international forums.

During a meeting with Lukas Paškevičius, Lithuania's Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding between their ministries. The document establishes a framework for exchanging best practices and expertise in transport innovation, urban mobility and digital transformation.

Ihor Reva also met with a delegation from the Transport Innovation Association, led by its director, Rugilė Andziukevičiūtė-Buzė. During the meeting, the parties signed another Memorandum of Understanding aimed at the practical implementation of EU Regulation 2020/1056 on electronic freight transport information (eFTI) and the development of digital transport solutions in Ukraine.

The visit also included a meeting with Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, during which Ihor Reva expressed his gratitude for Lithuania's consistent and unwavering support for Ukraine.
