Ukrainian unmanned systems are maintaining a technological advantage and will become even more effective and longer-range.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi said this on Facebook.

According to him, unmanned systems have become one of the key elements of modern warfare and an integral part of the combat capabilities of Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Their use enables effective strikes against Russian forces, depletes their military potential, increases the resilience of Ukrainian troops, and saves the lives of Ukrainian defenders. Therefore, the development of unmanned aviation and ground robotic systems remains one of the priority areas for strengthening the country’s defense capabilities, Syrskyi emphasized.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that in June, unmanned systems were used to strike nearly 28,000 Russian personnel. Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to expand their advantage over Russian forces in the use of FPV drones. In June, the ratio of successful strikes was 1.6 to 1 in Ukraine’s favor, compared with 1.5 to 1 in May, and the positive trend continues.

"We are consistently developing the Middle Strike capability. If in May the Defense Forces carried out nearly 2,000 strikes using systems of this class, in June the number reached around 3,400. We are also expanding capabilities in the Deep Strike segment. In June, 172 Russian targets were hit in their operational and strategic depth. Russian forces are already feeling the consequences of these strikes. Their intensity and effectiveness will continue to increase," Syrskyi said.

He also said that particular attention is being paid to the development of ground robotic systems.

"We are scaling up this area, because the use of ground robotic systems for logistics, the evacuation of wounded soldiers, and combat missions primarily means saving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers," the Commander-in-Chief noted.

According to him, in June, ground robotic systems carried out around 17,000 missions, compared with 12,500 in May.

The meeting also addressed further development of electronic warfare systems, their continuous improvement, the use of unmanned systems to protect Ukraine’s coastline, conduct missions in the maritime operational zone, and ensure the security of the maritime grain corridor, the general said.

Syrskyi stated: "I have identified priority tasks for the near future. We will continue increasing the number of Middle Strike and Deep Strike units, expanding their capabilities, and accelerating the training of necessary specialists. Russian forces’ rear areas, military logistics, warehouses, command posts, energy infrastructure, and other critical facilities will continue to remain under constant fire impact from Ukraine’s Defense Forces."

Ukrainian unmanned systems are maintaining their technological advantage and will become smarter, more effective, and capable of reaching farther targets, while Russian forces will feel the impact of this every day, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.

"We summarized the work of unmanned systems in June, analyzed the results achieved, and identified priorities for their further development," Syrskyi said.

The general reported that during June, unmanned aerial systems of Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out more than 437,000 combat missions and struck over 200,000 verified Russian targets.

"We are consistently increasing our strike capabilities. For comparison, in May this figure was nearly 180,000," Syrskyi emphasized.
