NIBULON launches company-wide digital warehouse management system

NIBULON LLC has completed the implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS), a digital system for managing warehouse processes.

According to the company’s press service, the system covers all NIBULON divisions where inventories are centrally recorded. The main operations at these facilities have now been digitalised, allowing the company to track the movement of goods and monitor inventory levels in real time.

The implementation of the WMS is one stage of the company’s digital transformation. NIBULON’s IT department developed specialised software tailored to the company’s specific needs, bringing together warehouse operations across agricultural production, transport services, grain elevators and other divisions within a single system.

Each inventory item is now recorded not simply at a particular warehouse, but in a specific storage location. As a result, inventory checks are now seven times faster, while locating the required items takes only a few seconds, the company said.

Most operations are carried out through a mobile application, accelerating the movement of materials from warehouses to end users.

The WMS also automatically determines the optimal order for dispatch based on FIFO and FEFO principles, taking into account both the date goods were received and their expiry dates. This is particularly important for crop protection products, seeds, fertilisers and other materials with limited shelf lives, as stocks can be used in a timely manner without the need for write-offs, the company said.

NIBULON is one of Ukraine’s leading grain exporters and agricultural producers, with a land bank of more than 76,000 hectares. The company operates a network of 27 grain elevator complexes, a railway fleet and its own shipping fleet. It exports its products to more than 70 countries worldwide.
