Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has received more than 650 applications for registration on TrophyLab, the Unified Web Portal for Research into Enemy Military Equipment. Of these, 389 applications have been submitted by foreign manufacturers of military equipment and weapons. Registration on the portal is also available to Ukrainian manufacturers, military units and government institutions.

TrophyLab brings together unique data on captured Russian weapons for engineers, researchers and defence technology manufacturers from Ukraine and partner countries.

The database is populated by units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and specialised research institutions.

Every registered researcher can submit a request to obtain a weapon sample or fragment for independent examination.

To apply for access to TrophyLab, users must visit the portal at trophylab.mod.gov.ua, complete the registration form and submit their application.

During registration, all applicants are screened for any links to Russia, Ukrainian or international sanctions, and compliance with other mandatory criteria.

Once registration is approved, users gain access to a catalogue of Russian weapons samples and the results of their examination.

Researchers can study the findings online or request physical samples for offline analysis.

Access to TrophyLab enables faster and more secure information sharing about Russian weapons, helping accelerate the development of effective countermeasures for the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

At the same time, the platform represents a significant Ukrainian contribution to international security and the defence capabilities of partner countries.
