Vyriy, a leading developer of FPV drones and ground control systems, is actively expanding its ecosystem by acquiring stakes in promising UAV developers and related technologies, founder Oleksiy Babenko told Forbes.

The move is part of Vyriy’s aggressive growth strategy, under which the company has already acquired five firms in less than a year.

Among the recent acquisitions:

  • Cyber Droid – A Lviv-based manufacturer of logistical and evacuation ground robotic systems (GRS), acquired in June. Vyriy plans to invest up to $500,000 to start production, hire 100 additional specialists, and bring the product to codification.
  • UAV Developers – Vyriy purchased 51% stakes in three drone developers: Blyskavka (an adapted version of the Russian strike UAV “Molniya”), Veresen (FPV drone carrier), and the light reconnaissance drone Sokil.
  • Electronic Components – The company also holds 51% of UAV manufacturer “RNK Solutions” and “Synevir,” a firm specializing in electronic components.

“Only in one company did we take a 20% stake; mostly, we acquire either 50% or 100%,” Babenko explained, highlighting Vyriy’s preference for controlling interests.

He added that the company is currently seeking a developer of guidance systems to further strengthen its portfolio.

Vyriy specializes in FPV drones, repeaters, and ground control stations, positioning itself as a key player in the rapidly evolving UAV sector.
