The co-owner and chief designer of the Ukrainian company Fire Point, Denys Shtilierman, spoke about the production and testing of FP-7 missiles. According to him, the FP-7 is an analogue of the American ATACMS missile but is half the cost. However, he noted in an interview with 24 Kanal that the Ukrainian design is not as compact as the American one.
Shtilierman explained that Fire Point manufactures almost all components of the FP-7 missile itself—from engines to flight controllers. The only exception is the warhead, which is produced to order.

“There has already been a flight. Now we are moving on to testing on our ‘dear’ neighbors,” the chief designer of Fire Point stated. Previously, Shtilierman released a video of FP-7 ballistic missile tests.
The missile can carry a 150 kg warhead, reach speeds of 1.5 km per second, and strike targets with an accuracy of up to 14 meters.
Denys Shtilierman noted that the high cost of ballistic missiles is partly due to bureaucratic burdens on miltech companies. However, the Ukrainian government has eased this burden for domestic manufacturers by allowing ballistic systems to be codified as drones.
