The fourth SUNNY BUNNY queer film festival has announced its winners.
International Feature Film Competition
The jury awarded the title of Best Film to “The Education of Jane Cumming” (directed by Sophie Heldman).
The award was personally received at the ceremony by director and co-screenwriter Sophie Heldman and co-screenwriter and actress Flora Nicholson.
Special jury mentions were given to:
- “On the Road” (dir. David Pablos). The diploma was collected on stage by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Mexican States to Ukraine, Audencio Contreras González.
- “Fantasy” (dir. Kukla). The diploma will be delivered to the director by the defense attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Ukraine, Bernarda Volčanek.
International Short Film Competition
The winner was “From Hunger” (dir. Saurav Dattatraya Magind).
Special jury mentions were awarded to:
- “Tell Me a Fairy Tale” (dir. Diana Anikeyeva)
- “Heavy Metal Flower” (dir. Alberto Baños)
International Jury
- Daria Badyor — editor-in-chief of re/visions, critic, editor, film curator (Ukraine)
- Isabelle Stever — film director, screenwriter (Germany)
- Jad Salfiti — journalist (United Kingdom)
Audience Award
The winner was “Good Evening, Good Day” (dir. Ivona Juka).
The film was announced by festival ambassadors — poet and writer, Shevchenko Prize laureate Kateryna Kalytko, and veteran, defender of Mariupol, head of the “LGBT Military for Equal Rights” association Oleksandr Demenko.
