Volodymyr Zelensky: Our military expertise is already producing results in Middle Eastern and Gulf states

Ukraine is expanding cooperation with Middle Eastern and Gulf states, particularly in the areas of military expertise and joint security.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“We continue to work with Middle Eastern and Gulf states. The situation in this region has global significance, affecting world markets, the cost of living in all countries without exception, and technological challenges that cannot be left unaddressed. War makes weapons more dangerous. Our goal is greater collective security,” Zelenskyy said.

He noted that, to date, Ukraine is actively cooperating with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar. Work is ongoing with Jordan, and communication continues with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Iraq.

“Our military expertise is already producing results. Our interceptors are already delivering results. We already have several long-term agreements on cooperation and mutual reinforcement, and we are preparing new solutions,” the President assured.

In this context, he mentioned that Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, today reported on planned work with Turkey and other countries with significant potential.

Zelenskyy also drew a parallel between the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Black Sea:

“Blocking normal navigation in the Strait of Hormuz is essentially the same challenge Ukraine faced in 2022, when Russia tried to block our ports and access to the sea—only on a more dangerous scale. No nation should be left alone facing terrorist strikes,” the President said, thanking everyone who acts without delay, coordinates, and develops formats to ensure reliable collective security.
