Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the heads of parliamentary delegations from European countries that participated in the Bucha Summit.

Key topics of discussion included Ukraine’s integration into the European Union, defense cooperation, the restoration of justice, and the negotiation process to achieve a just and lasting peace.

“I sincerely thank you for your visit, for your support, for your countries, your governments, your leaders, and, of course, your peoples. First and foremost—the people who have supported us since the very beginning of this war. We are grateful to all the parliamentary delegations. You supported many important decisions and resolutions in our favor, and, of course, thanks to you, from the very start of this war we felt we were not alone. Thank you very much,” the President said.

During the meeting, participants discussed Ukraine’s European integration and the importance of unblocking negotiation clusters. The President emphasized that Ukraine’s EU membership is a vital guarantee of security for both the country and all of Europe.

They also spoke in detail about building systematic cooperation in defense manufacturing, where the experience and expertise of Ukrainians in protecting people should play a key role. Special attention was given to restoring justice and bringing home all prisoners and children kidnapped by Russia. Volodymyr Zelensky shared updates on joint work with partners in this area and contacts with the U.S. team. He noted that a trilateral meeting of delegations was postponed due to the war in the Middle East, but a discussion including U.S. representatives is scheduled for the following day.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the parliaments of Austria, Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Finland, Croatia, as well as parliamentary assemblies of NATO and the OSCE.
