Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, announced his participation in one of Northern Europe’s leading security conferences — the Lennart Meri Conference, which is held annually in Tallinn.
“Important questions were raised by representatives of various countries. But all of them concerned one thing — what security policy should look like in conditions where the world is entering an era of instability and new conflicts,” Zaluzhnyi wrote on Facebook on Sunday following the event.

He emphasized that the old world order no longer functions and that “the large-scale changes that have taken place on the front line in Ukraine have completely changed the paradigm of how wars are fought.”
“Modern warfare is already different, and therefore predicting its outcomes is simply impossible. New global solutions are needed; otherwise, existing conflicts may spread,” the diplomat said.

Zaluzhnyi also thanked the conference organizers for raising such important issues, “on which depends not merely the fate of individual countries, but the future of all humanity.”
