The Italian city of Trento will host Ukro 2025, a festival celebrating Ukrainian culture that brings together the diaspora and cultural enthusiasts. The event, supported by the Trento City Council, will take place at the Trentino Music Arena in San Vincenzo and coincide with Oktoberfest, creating a unique fusion of Central European and Ukrainian cultural traditions.
Ukro is a traveling cultural festival founded in Milan in 2015. Over the years, it has become a platform for promoting Ukrainian culture, fostering intergenerational dialogue, and supporting the Ukrainian diaspora. This year marks the festival’s seventh anniversary edition, following successful events in Milan, Bergamo, Brescia, Padua, Venice, and Bologna.
The festival will feature a diverse cultural program, including performances by singers, dance and theater groups, craft fairs, Ukrainian gastronomic specialties, charitable initiatives, and master classes.
Among the highlights is a collaborative art project, the collective painting DIM-UKRO, which will involve hundreds of participants. Ukro 2025 aims not only to celebrate culture but also to serve as a platform for mutual understanding and solidarity. Ukrainians and international guests will be able to participate in artistic and social initiatives, emphasizing the preservation of traditions, intergenerational learning, and civic engagement. Organizers expect over 2,000 participants, making Ukro 2025 a major cultural event of the year.
The festival is set to strengthen dialogue between cultures while promoting Ukrainian heritage abroad.
