Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published data showing how Ukrainians who have found refuge in the country are contributing to its economy.
According to data published by the Polish Foreign Ministry on X, the employment rate among Ukrainians in Poland stood at 78% in 2024. Ukrainians’ contribution to the Polish economy accounted for 2.7% of GDP growth in 2024.
“Behind these statistics are real stories of innovation and business development. Ukrainians are not simply finding refuge in Poland — they are actively contributing to the growth of the Polish economy,” the ministry said.
The Polish Foreign Ministry also noted that 966,000 Ukrainians are currently officially employed in Poland. Over the past several years, they have established more than 100,000 businesses, meaning that one in every ten new businesses in Poland is Ukrainian-owned.
