At the London Defence Conference, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence showcased its latest technological advancements in military digitalisation, including the DELTA battlefield system and the Avengers AI platform.
The Avengers system, a standout among Ukraine’s innovations, detects 70% of enemy equipment in video streams and identifies a single target in just 2.2 seconds, demonstrating the growing role of artificial intelligence in Ukraine’s defence strategy.
The DELTA system, already in use on the front lines, integrates real-time battlefield data to improve command efficiency and situational awareness.
The London Defence Conference, the UK’s largest security forum, was launched in 2022 following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It is opened annually by the British Prime Minister and focuses on strengthening global security responses to emerging threats.
During the event, the Ukrainian delegation also participated in several panel discussions addressing European and global security. Their presence underscored Ukraine’s leadership in military innovation and its deepening cooperation with NATO allies.
Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine Kateryna Chernohorenko emphasised that future peace will be built on technological solutions — and Ukraine has much to offer the world in this regard.
“Technological superiority on the battlefield is one of the key factors in modern warfare. Ukraine has already proven that drones can change the rules of the game, even against an enemy with superior manpower and equipment,” Chernohorenko said.
She stressed that it's not just about drones, but about the broader ecosystem behind them.
“We’ve created a system where drones in the air, on land, and at sea operate together, delivering precise strikes in real time. The DELTA combat system gives our troops situational awareness and coordination capabilities within minutes. That’s how we fight smarter,” she added.
Conference participants praised the Ministry of Defence’s modern and integrated approach to wartime challenges. Ukraine’s experience in digitalisation is already drawing international attention, with several countries showing interest in adopting the DELTA system.
