In the first four months of 2026, Ukraine’s trade turnover amounted to $46.1 billion: during January–March 2026, goods worth $32.2 billion were imported into Ukraine, while exports amounted to $13.9 billion.
This was reported by the State Customs Service.
At the same time, taxable imports amounted to $22.3 billion, representing 69% of the total imported goods.
The tax burden per kilogram of taxable imports in January–April 2026 was $0.55/kg.
The countries from which Ukraine imported the most goods were: China ($8.7 billion), Poland ($3.1 billion), and Turkey ($2.2 billion).
Ukraine’s largest export destinations were Poland ($1.5 billion), Turkey ($1.2 billion), and Italy ($857 million).
Among total imports in January–April 2026, 72% consisted of the following categories: machinery, equipment, and transport ($13.3 billion). Customs payments for these goods amounted to 74.3 billion UAH, or 26% of total customs revenue.
Energy products accounted for $5.3 billion, with customs payments of 103.5 billion UAH, or 36% of total customs revenue.
Chemical industry products amounted to $4.6 billion, with 38.4 billion UAH in customs payments, representing 14% of total revenue.
The top three exported categories were: food products ($8.5 billion), metals and metal products ($1.3 billion), and machinery, equipment, and transport ($1.2 billion).
In January–April 2026, export duties collected at customs amounted to 585.9 million UAH.
