Thanks to international partners’ support, Ukraine has gas reserves of up to 13 billion cubic meters.
This was stated by Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, Oleksiy Sobolev, during a panel at Ukraine House in Davos.
“Many American and European companies, representatives from Norway, and various international financial organizations are helping us replenish our gas reserves. Our storage currently holds up to 13 billion cubic meters,” Sobolev said.
He noted that last spring, Russian forces destroyed infrastructure that gas workers later restored, but attacks continued in the fall.
“We need compressors, compressor stations, and special equipment to inject gas into storage, as well as physical protection,” the minister emphasized.
