The Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine will hold an open hackathon for OSINT investigators from around the world to mark the first anniversary of the War&Sanctions analytical portal.

This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

Ukrainian and foreign research teams, as well as independent OSINT investigators, are invited to participate. During the hackathon, they will prepare analytical materials for existing sections of the portal, propose new thematic directions, and conduct investigations based on War&Sanctions data.

The format will be hybrid (online and offline).

To participate in the hackathon, fill out the form at the link by 8:00 p.m. on May 21 and wait for the task, which will be sent to the email address provided during registration.

Participants will complete tasks remotely within a set time frame.

The works will be evaluated and winners selected by representatives of the Defence Intelligence, heads of central executive authorities, and other state bodies of Ukraine.

Awards will be personally presented to the winners by the Head of the Defence Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, at a ceremonial event.

For foreign participants, an online participation format is provided.

To participate in the hackathon, a form must be filled out by 8:00 PM on May 21 via the provided link. After registration, the task will be sent to the email address specified in the form.

The Defence Intelligence launched the War&Sanctions platform on June 1, 2024. Over the course of the year, the portal expanded from two to nine sections, some of which contain several distinct data sets.

The portal contains data on 10,000 entities and individuals who initiate, fuel, supply, embody, and support Russia’s war against Ukraine.
