Ukraine’s capital investment reaches UAH 307.9 billion in first half of 2026

Capital investment in Ukraine amounted to UAH 307.9 billion in January–June 2026, up 9.9% compared with the same period last year.

This was reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

According to the published data, the largest amount of investment in the first half of the year went to industry — UAH 121.5 billion, or 39.5% of the total — followed by agriculture, forestry and fisheries at UAH 35.0 billion, or 11.4%.

Wholesale and retail trade accounted for UAH 29.6 billion, or 9.6%, while construction received UAH 26.2 billion, or 8.5%.

By asset type, tangible assets accounted for the overwhelming majority of capital investment at 94.5%. In particular, machinery, equipment and inventory accounted for 36.1% of total investment, engineering structures for 22.4%, non-residential buildings for 11.4%, and vehicles for 10.7%. Intangible assets accounted for 5.5% of total investment.

At the regional level, Kyiv remained the clear leader in capital investment, attracting UAH 128.5 billion, or 41.7% of the nationwide total.
