On the night of February 23 (starting from 18:00 on February 22), the Russian forces attacked with one Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from Russia’s Rostov region, as well as 126 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmass types and other types of drones from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Around 80 of them were Shaheds.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 105 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmass types and other drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
A ballistic missile hit and 20 strike UAV impacts were recorded at 11 locations, as well as debris from downed drones at one location.
