In February, compared to January, Ukraine increased electricity imports by 41% – up to 1.26 million MWh, while there was no export at all.
This was reported by the consulting company ExPro.
“In February 2026, Ukraine again reached record levels of electricity imports – 1.26 million MWh. Compared to January 2026, the imported volumes increased by 41%,” the statement reads.
The largest share of imports came from Hungary – 49% of all volumes, with imports from Hungary rising by 54% compared to January.
Slovakia accounted for 18% of imports.
There was no electricity export in February.
