Ukraine’s women’s beach volleyball team won the Nations Cup of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) in Budapest.
In the final, the Ukrainian team defeated Italy, winning the match with an overall score of 2:1.
In the first match, Valentina Davydova and Angelina Khmil confidently defeated the Italian duo Claudia Scampoli and Giada Bianchi, winning 2:0 (23:21, 21:17).
The Italian team equalized in the second set, where Valentina Gottardi and Reka Orsi defeated Ukraine’s Daria Romaniuk and Eva Serdiuk 2:1 (21:14, 16:21, 15:8).

In the decisive “golden set,” Eva Serdiuk and Angelina Khmil secured the overall victory for Ukraine with a 15:12 win.
This was the first time in history that the Ukrainian team had triumphed at this prestigious tournament.
