On the night of April 18 (from 18:00 on April 17), the Russian forces launched an attack using 219 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as other drones, from the directions of Shatalovo, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 150 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense shot down or suppressed 190 UAVs of various types across the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 28 strike UAVs were recorded at 17 locations, as well as debris from downed drones falling at 9 locations.
