Ukraine has been the world leader in net exports of frozen raspberries since 2024 and could maintain this position in the 2026/27 marketing year.

This forecast was presented by the Ukrainian Berries Association in its August report.

Experts noted that from June to May of the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine exported 63,300 tonnes of frozen raspberries worth €250.8 million, an increase of 65%, at an average price of €3.96 per kg.

The new season began with higher prices. In June, Ukraine exported 2,150 tonnes of frozen raspberries at an average price of €4.14 per kg. The main destinations were the Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany.

“Due to a poor harvest in Serbia (-50%) and frost damage in Poland, Ukraine has a chance to become the global leader in total export volume as well in the 2026/27 marketing year,” the association said.

The association added that the industry’s focus on autumn raspberry varieties is strengthening Ukraine’s export position.
