The State Customs Service has transitioned to a new version of the transit customs IT system — NCTS Phase 6 (New Computerised Transit System), its press service reported on Monday.
NCTS Phase 6 is an updated electronic common transit system that complies with EU standards. It is designed to improve electronic customs procedures and ensure more efficient transit of goods.
“In essence, this is the next step in the digitalization of common transit, which provides for further improvement of electronic data exchange between customs administrations, as well as expanding the system’s functionality for more effective management of transit operations,” said State Customs Service head Orest Mandzii.

Ukraine implemented the previous version, NCTS Phase 5, in April 2024. According to Mandzii, starting June 22, for entry into the EU via Romania or Hungary, Ukrainian carriers must, in addition to the standard T1 transit declaration, submit a general entry declaration to the EU Import Control System (ICS2). Meanwhile, Poland and Slovakia, like Ukraine, have enabled the use of a single combined declaration.
