In 2025, Ukraine exported 111.2 thousand tons of bioethanol, an increase of 11.9% compared to the previous year.

The highest shipment volumes were recorded in February, March, and April, while the lowest were in September, October, and November, according to NaftoRynok.

"Quarterly, the largest export volume was in the first quarter — 39.0 thousand tons. The second and third quarters saw a gradual decline in export activity, but the market showed slight recovery in the fourth quarter," analysts noted.

The export geography remained stable: 96.2% of Ukrainian bioethanol went to EU countries, with the remaining volumes sent to Switzerland. Lithuania remained the key market, accounting for 57.9% of total exports.

Last year, nine companies exported bioethanol. The largest exporter was the First Podolsk Energy Company, holding a 32.7% share of total exports, although its shipments fell by 5.8% compared to 2024.

Among the top five exporters, the most dynamic growth was shown by Vestnoll (+682.2%) and Vitagro Bio Trade (+70.3%), while ETNL reduced shipments by 44.6% year-on-year.
