On the night of April 1 (from 18:00 on March 31), the Russian forces launched an attack using 339 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, as well as other types of drones from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea), and temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 200 of them were Shahed drones.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 298 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and other drones across the north, south, east, west, and central regions of the country.
Hits by 20 strike UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, as well as the fall of debris from downed drones at 5 locations.
