In Madrid, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the leadership of the Spanish group Sener, which today signed three agreements with Ukrainian defense manufacturers. The group’s executives, led by President Andrés Sendagorta and CEO Jorge Sendagorta, provided the Head of State with a detailed overview of their production capabilities, from developing autonomous systems and communication systems to participating in various air defense programmes. Notably, Sener produces components for IRIS-T missiles, which are assembled in Germany for Ukraine.

Sener also operates in the aerospace sector, implements energy and infrastructure projects, and generally specializes in complex high-tech solutions.

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Ukraine is interested in joint projects for long-range drones, as the country has new developments ready for scaling. Company representatives also demonstrated military equipment they manufacture and their missile component production line to the President.

In the presence of Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian companies Fire Point, the State Kyiv Design Bureau “Luch,” and the research and production enterprise “Radionics” signed cooperation agreements with Sener. The agreements cover collaboration in the missile and air defense sectors and are expected to strengthen the protection of Ukrainian airspace.

Another cooperation agreement was signed between the Spanish company Escribano and the Ukrainian UAV manufacturer Skyeton. The companies will jointly develop and produce strike laser-guided systems based on Ukrainian-made unmanned systems.

“Strengthening air defense and protecting lives is our top priority. We expect all agreements between Ukrainian and Spanish manufacturers to be implemented as quickly as possible,” emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.
