Ukraine and NATO are expanding cooperation in counter-drone defense, combat experience sharing, and the development of innovative technologies. The Ukrainian side is ready to share its unique modern warfare expertise and integrate it into joint projects with partners. This was discussed during a meeting between Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration, Serhiy Boyev, and NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, Admiral Pierre Vandier. Representatives from the Unmanned Systems Command, the Main Intelligence Directorate, the Brave1 defense innovation cluster, and the DELTA project team also participated in the meeting.

The parties discussed developing affordable solutions for countering aerial threats, including the use of interceptors as part of a layered air defense system.

“The share of interceptors in target neutralization is steadily increasing. This is an effective and inexpensive way to destroy drones. Our goal is to achieve a 95% success rate,” emphasized Serhiy Boyev.

The Ukrainian side presented its approach to building an air defense system, which includes not only strike assets but also command systems and radar field development. Ukraine today has unique practical experience in integrating all components of such a system under conditions of full-scale war.

Special attention was given to the DELTA situational awareness system, which allows tracking missions, identifying targets, monitoring strike results, and obtaining objective battlefield statistics.

The parties also considered prospects for joint projects, including through the JATEC center and the UNITE–Brave NATO initiative. This involves expanding cooperation between Ukrainian and international companies and integrating Ukrainian solutions into NATO defense systems.

Ukraine is ready to develop mutually beneficial partnerships and play an active role in shaping the new security architecture together with its allies.
